At The Unique Movers, our sales team is dedicated to providing you with a smooth and efficient moving experience. To assist you effectively, we collect the following information:

  • Inventory of items: We need a detailed list of the items you intend to move. This helps us understand the scope of your move and provide an accurate estimate.
  • Desired move date and time: Please share your preferred moving date and time so we can check availability and accommodate your schedule.
  • Pickup and delivery addresses: We'll need the addresses for both the pickup and delivery locations to plan the logistics of your move.
  • Pricing and estimates: Based on the information you provide, our team will discuss pricing options, assist in determining costs, and provide you with a detailed estimate.
  • Flexible options: For moves in Montreal, Ottawa, and North Bay, our team will discuss flexible pickup and delivery dates, as prices may vary for same-day service.

Next Steps After Receiving Your Estimate

After receiving your estimate, you will need to follow these steps:
  • Verify that the estimate includes all the details you discussed with the sales agent to ensure everything is accurate.
  • If any changes are necessary, observe real-time updates and modifications in the same link until your move is completed.
  • Sign the estimate and moving agreement online.
  • Consent to and sign the damage policy to protect your belongings during the move.
  • Sign and submit the credit card authorization to facilitate payment.
  • Make the deposit using your preferred method, such as e-transfer or credit card.

After confirmation

After your move is confirmed, you can expect the following:
  • Within 24 hours before moving day, our team will contact you via email, text, or phone call to remind you and ensure a smooth transition.
  • You may request rescheduling up to 24 hours before the scheduled move date.
  • Please note that the deposit is non-refundable if the customer cancels the move less than two weeks before the scheduled date.

On Moving Day

On moving day, here’s what you can expect:
  • Our supervisor will contact you to provide an estimated arrival time.
  • Upon arrival, the supervisor will inspect your inventory and note any existing damages.
  • If necessary, we will dismantle any furniture for safe transport.
  • Items requiring protection will be wrapped with blankets, shrink wrap, bubble wrap, and other packing materials.
  • The inventory will be loaded and stacked systematically using moving tools such as 2-wheelers, 4-wheelers, and straps. For long-distance moves, a copy of the inventory will be provided to you.
  • We will drive to the destination, and upon arrival, we will unload your items and provide room-to-room service as requested.
  • If you wish, we will reassemble furniture and handle unpacking.
  • Finally, we will provide a final bill, and payment can be made through E-transfer, cash, or credit card.
